Seemani Dash (she/her) is a third-year undergraduate student majoring in Molecular and Cell Biology – Neurobiology and Psychology. She is deeply involved with the campus community as a part of Berkeley’s Harm Reduction Expansion Program, CalGreeks, and Co-President of Greeks Against Sexual Assault. With her roles, she is passionate about increasing accessibility of health resources at every intersection of harm reduction in the communities that matter most to her. As the daughter of an immigrant family, she recognizes and hopes to bridge major gaps in healthcare, volunteering her time at Oakland’s Highland Hospital, guiding patients of all backgrounds through navigating the system. She adores working with kids and young adults, dedicating time to youth leadership through the national Hugh O’ Brian Youth Leadership program in order to empower young voices in a world of evolving change, and growing children’s love for STEM activities at the Lawrence Hall of Science. Outside of school, Seemani loves being a Bollywood dance teacher, an avid Dance Moms watcher, and a loving family member!
