
Sara Betts (she/her) is a fourth-year undergraduate student majoring in political economy and minoring in public policy. Sara is a first-generation, system-impacted student from a low-income background who has personally experienced substance use disorder and is in recovery. She hopes to attend graduate school and work in drug policy after completing her bachelor’s degree. Her long-term goal is to enact positive change for under-resourced communities through policy action. She has a passion for learning from and working with people from all backgrounds, which is the primary driver of her work. In her free time, Sara loves hiking, backpacking, and reading.
